• It was Hack Days at work this week. I spent it building a front-end GUI for seafoam (a tool to generate compiler graphs) using React and Electron. It’s my first time writing Javascript at work and I really enjoyed it. Plus, I use seafoam at work quite frequently and would love a user-friendly front-end for the tool.

  • Jae and I started playing the Last of Us 2. We’re really loving the story and (no spoilers) we got past our first major plot. I’m feeling really excited about the gameplay because I think they’ve improved some aspects from the first game. Also, I really enjoy seeing Ellie grown up now.

  • We had a long short weekend. On Saturday we went to Toronto Center Island. We were in a part of four so we were able to rent the quadracycle. It’s my lifelong dream to drive it. We rode it around the island and raced other fellow quadra-cyclists. It rained heavily in the evening so we ended up walking back to the hotel drenched.

  • Today, we went to Canada’s Wonderland, an amusement park in Vaughan and the largest one in Canada. It was blazing hot and water bottles were priced at $5. Aside from the daylight robbery, I had a really, really fun time. In general, I’m terrified of heights, but I kept it together and ended up going on some of the more thrilling rides. Anyway, I’m now a little sunburnt and extremely exhausted.
