• I finished watching Jane the Virgin for the second time. I found it to be as creative and magical as the first time I watched it. The cast were mostly women of colour and the storyline and writing was very unique. The characters’ growth was also very satisfying and warm to watch.

  • I had some quality alone time as my partner was gone for a night over the weekend. I spent my alone time playing games, watching a new TV show (on Netflix called Manifest) and sleeping in. I slept a whooping 11 hours! A real big flex.

  • Now that the gyms are open, I decided that it’s time to find a coach for my contest prep in 2022. I’ve done my research and consumed a ton of bodybuilding-related media to know which coaches would fit best for my needs. Right now, I’ve submitted an application and am waiting to hear back. I don’t think I need a weekly check in for off season, but I could use monthly/bi-monthly check-ins for accountability.

  • I experience terrible DOMS, especially after a long time of not training my legs. Knowing that, I went to see a massage therapist this afternoon. It’s interesting to notice how different parts of my muscles react to the deep tissue massage (e.g. left side vs. right side, or knead vs. stretch). I feel like someone beat me up and I’m bruised all over.

  • We watched Black Widow at the theatres. I also enjoyed this film! (What don’t I enjoy these days??) Anyway, no one sat around us and there was more than enough social distance. I personally hope the cinema experience stays this way forever.

  • I feel much happier now that things are going back to normal. Being able to train at the gym has shifted my mood tremendously. The skies are bluer!
